rmb 400 Hawaii CROSS REFERENCE SHEET Statehood miseel. Name: BLATNIK, Honorable John A. Date: 1/11/51 Organization: Address: House of Representatives Washington, D.C. Regarding: Letter to the President enclosing a sample flag prepared by Mr. A. J. Strane, of 1928 East 5th Street, Duluth, Minnesota, which provides for recognition of Alaska and Hawaii among the stars in the event these territories become States. Also encloses some newspaper clippings. Mr. Connelly ack. (My dear Mr. Blatnik) 1/17/51 stating the President appreciates his courtesy in calling attention to the sample flag, and asks him to entend an expression of his thanks to Mr. Strane for the interest which prompted him to submit the design.
