I still am. I disagree with your vetoes on the tax and labor bills. I would have said, as to the tax bill, "let's double all taxes now that this and the next generation shall not have to fight again. !! And who am I ? Just a G.1. who believes in what he fought for and who is a great fan for Harry Truman. I n ever wrote & fan letter in my life. But I so like the way Harry Truman is running m y country that I think he deserves to know how I and many thousands of others who were lukewarm to F.D.R. now feel. Harry Truman, by adversity Or fate, is the greatest man that could have been given US. Would the President care to bet me one of his favorite Stetsons that he won! t carry Essex County New York ? If he will do so, my size is 1 and 3/8. And Essex County will go Democratic for the first time in one hundred years. I am for Harry Truman nbecause at lorg the h- last we have a president who knows what N he is doing. I like it - for a change. And since I moved to California afterseven years in the navy as an elisted man rand four years in the Army Engineers as an officer, how should I XXXXXS register to vote for my commander-in-chief when I was registered a republican in 1938? And many more like me want to know that answer. Like all people - is it possible to get an autographed picture of President Truman ? I should like it mightily.
