Son, PFC Lawrence C. Sporer, USMC, wounded several times prior to
being killed on Saipan; in one such instance saved lives of six fellow
Marines in fox hole when used own body as shield from Jap grenade;
similar heroic action has merited Congressional Medal of Honor and
believes Lawrence entitled to same.
