My dear Mrs. Incledon:
Your letter of November fourth, on
behalf of your Club, has been received. While
your interest in writing is appreciated, I wish
to advise you that after very careful consider-
ation the President felt constrained to withhold
his approval of S. 1407, the bill to which you
refer.

I am enclosing for your information
and ready reference a copy of the President's
veto message.
Very sincerely yours,
WILLIAM D. HASSETT
