My dear Mr. Yazzie:
This is to acknowledge the receipt of
the telegrams of October thirteenth and fifteenth
Navajo Hope
which you and those who joined with you sent to
pro
the President. While your interest in wiring
is appreciated, the President after most careful
"Y"
consideration felt constrained to withhold his ap-
proval of S. 1407.
I am enclosing, for your information,
a copy of the President's veto message to the
Senate.
Very sincerely yours,
S. TRUMAN AND LEGISTRY
RECORDS
U.S.
SERVICE
WILLIAM D. HASSETT
Secretary to the President
Mr. Maxwell Yazzie,
B
Navajo Tribal Council,
Gallup,
New Mexico.
Enclosure.
