Dear President Truman,
The members of our indian organization read of your
act as regards Sgt ohn R.Rice who died in action in Korea.
We are ashamed that officials of Sioux City did the cruel
thing that they did, refusing to bury an Indian in their
cemetery. We were proud of you, brother, when we read of
you allowing our warrior to be buried in the Arlington
Cemetery. We want you to know that we are grateful to you
and appreciate it very much. May the Great Spirit bless your
home for defending one Of our people.
Cordially yours,
Ray Tadden
