TRUMAN,
On May 15th at 5 P.M., Mr. Gaspar and another
5° ARCHIVES **NATIONAL SERVICE" RECORDS AND
member of his organization were received in the Committee's
offices. The enclosed letter was read to me in formal
c COVERAGE
fashion. I replied formally, stating that I was happy to
receive the resolutions, that they would be turned over to
the President's Committee for consideration and that the
Committee would ultimately submit a series of recommendations
to President Truman.
Mr. Gaspar and his attendant then shook hands with
me formally and departed, seemingly pleased with the
occasion.
