MEMORANDUM FOR: Honorable David H. Stowe
Dear Dave: :
H. L. Mitchell came in Thursday afternoon
with a delegation of five members of the Citrus
Workers and Food Processors Union, A.F.L., who are
asking for better enforcement of the agreement
between the United States and Mexico, covering
temporary agricultural workers, and, in addition,
for a Congressional or Presidential commission
of inquiry on living conditions in the Rio
Grande Valley.
They have seen people in both the U.S.
Employment Service and the Immigration and
Naturalization Service, and left with me a copy
of the attached memorandum.
