Regarding: Ltr to Miss Couway sending her news clipping re the Preaident. Said this was sent to hin by a friend in London, Is commendatory re the Presidente Tolla of the ill- ness of his wife, who is much improved. -Extonds hia best to the President. (this item of nom is from the London Church Times.) -The Prosident, April 28th, wrote to "Dear Mr. Merroll" saying Miss Commay handed him the clipping fron the London paper and that he appreciated having an opportamity to road it. Said he was sorry that Mrs. Merroll has hed such a time of it, but is happy to know thet she is again up and about. Said he hoped everything was going woll with her in Bermuda and with Mr. Merroll. Said that he understands the Governor of New York is there for a r est. Seid he wished he could be present but it just isn't possible at this Clay Merroll (Mrs. Jane Merroll) on May 8th, 1951, sent wire to Mise Corvay advising that her husband died that day.
