The tragic death of President Roosevelt
has placed on your shoulders the greatest burden
that the world can place on any man.
Everyone I have met in Kansas City expresses
great confidence in your capacity to pick up the
reins of government and carry on, and lead us to
peace and a greater America.
You are included in Peggy's and my daily
prayers.
