Hennings, Jr. Says his letter is an effort to aid Earl W. Beck and to clear up some of the confusion that seems to surround his present position. Also attached is a newspaper clipping - "GOPs Waging Unfair Campaign".---President ack. (Dear Mr. Franklin) 10/16/51 stating Mr. Beck would make a very capable Recorder of Deeds for the City of Washington but the present mood of the Congress is to be against anything or anybody that the President is for.
