Regarding:
Ltr to Mr. Short stating that Barney Balaban, President of Paranount
Pictures Corporation has asked that they forward to the White House projectionist,
a newsreel, approximately 1,000 feet, which is a special edition of British Paramount
News on the visit of the Royal Couple to Washington, at which time they were guests of
the President. Said Mr. Balaban thought the First Family would like to see the British
treatment of the royal visit here and the film may be added to the White House film
collection.
Mr. Short ack. (Dear Bob) 12/11/51, thanking him and Barney Balaban
for the special edition of British Paramount News. Said he knows the President will
enjey seeing it and it will make a fine addition to the White House film collection.
