THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
September 23, 1949
MR. CONNELLY:
Mr. Frank LaFalce of Warner Bros.
Theatre Corp. called to inquire about
the possibility of making an appointment
for Al Jolson to come in and meet the
President one day next week. Mr. LaFalce
suggested Tuesday, Sept.27th, but said if
an appointment couldn't be arranged for
that date that Mr. Jolson would change his
plans in order to meet the President.
Washington is Al Jolson's home town and
he is coming back for a short visit. Mr.
LaFalce asked if we could let him know today.
