Congratulates him on his appointment of Averell Harriman. 7/3/50 Pres. ack. (Dear Mr.
Comstock) thanking him for his letter. Believes Dean Acheson will take his place as
one of the great Secretaries of State. Is glad to have his high opinion of Mr. Harriman.
On 9/12/50 Mr. Comstock wrote to the President thanking him for letter of 7/3/50
discussing present situation and congratulates the President on his apology to the Marines.
