I suppose that your mail for the coming week will be crowded
with letters of congratulation ; and yet I cannot resist
adding mine to your collection. Perhaps you are like the
rest of us who enjoy a little praise now, and then, but your
speech on Sunday to the NAACP Convention was heartwarming
to millions of America's listeners. The speech was well
received in this section and you are to be congratulated
for your unequivocal and forthright treatment of the subject
of racial discrimination,
