My dear Mr. President:
Your program of feeding Europe would be a most laudible one,
but for the fact that our farmers in the west and southwest
are not able to get their winter wheat planted because of
dry weather and it looks as if we will have another
dust bowl.
It would appear that you are embarking on a program that
is just as harmful to the American people as your 'ill).
advised policy of raising prices by raising wages You
were fooled into believing that you could raise wages
and keep prices down. Now we have you to thank for the
present inflationary trends and you are now
bringing on a famine in our own country, which is exactly
what the Communists want. I have no hesitancy in saying to
you, Sir, that no President ever had a set of advisors
that showed as little common sense as you have around you.
I want to emphacize the fact that I am not a Republican,
but, you and your impractical policies will drive the South
into the Republican party if you persist in the same.
Hoping that you will wake up to what is happening within our
own country as much as you have to what is happening abroad
before it is too late,
Most respectfully and sincerely yours,
Richmond Seay
