December 11, 1950
The Honorable Harry S. Truman,
President of United States.
Blair House.
Washington, D. C.
Dear Mr. President:
ARCHIVES "NATIONAL TRUMAN SERVICE" RECORDS AND DINEASE
The adverse criticism you have re-
11
ceived on your recent publicized letter prompts
me to write you of my own experience.
Last week I was so provoked by one of
our customers, who made an obvious illegitimate
claim, that I wrote a stinging letter giving vent
to all my feelings.
After signing it with my mail, I picked
it out and put it in my desk drawer. The next
morning when I came to the office, I tore it up.
Moral - - Write anything, but be sure
before you mail it.
Most Sincerely,
SYLVAN LEIPHEIMER
