Dear Mr.President:
I was very sorry to hear you advocating
a year of Military Training for all our boys in your speach last week.
Have we decided that the example of Germany were good to follow? If
we let the military run this country we will be doing just what they were
doing and what did it gain them?
We surely do not want to give up
our freedom.
It seems to us if tolerance and understanding were taught in our schools
it would go far toward making a better world.
If all the world is to be trained for war, there is not much hope for the
future.
Let us try spending some money toward making a peaceful world and set
an example for all to follow.
I beg of you think for your self and do not be run by the military.
Very Sincerely.
Chana B. Brendy.
