Wrote to the President extending a cordial invitation to attend a special
communication of Helion Lodge Number One, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, to be held
on the 27th of August, the final day of Huntsville's and Madison County's first annual
Homecoming celebration. Mentions this invitation carries special significance in that
President Andrew Jackson, Grand Master of Vasons in the State of Tennessee, 1822-1823,

visited the lodge in the year 1827. Encloses 8. photostatic copy, hardly legible, of the
invitation acceptance by President Jackson, written in October 1826.---on July 18, 1947

the President wrote to Brother Walker saying he appreciated the invitation and wishes he
could accept but he doesn't know what his situation at that time will be.
