Dear Mr. Truman:
It was good of you to write me about
Miss Thompson. She was a devoted and loyal
friend as well as a great help to me in my
work and I miss her more and more every day.
At the moment I am very busy preparing
for my departure on May 19th. When I return
in August, I hope it will be possible for
you and Mrs. Truman to visit me at Hyde Park.
My warm thanks for your thoughtfulness
