Dear Mrs. Roosevelt:
Thank you very much for your letters of May 27th and
28th. Both Mrs. Truman and I appreciate your thought-
fulness.
We are sad, however, that circumstances prevented our
being with you on Memorial Day, but if you still are will-
ing, we will keep trying. and one of these days we will
make it.
