Director

February 24, 1958
Mr. William Hillman
134 West 11th Street
New York 11, New York
Dear Bill:
Following our telephone conversations this past week end,
this will confirm our pleasure that President Truman will participate
in the nation-wide radio and television program, "Youth Wants to Know",

As we agreed, the program will be filmed in advance on
Sunday, April 29th, at the NBC studios, located at 30 Rockefeller
Plaza in New York City.
As Mr. Granik indicated in his letter to you, dated February
2nd, the primary objective of the program is to commemorate the Tenth
Anniversary of theState of Israel. The NBC network is devoting that
particular date to celebrating this historic event; and NBC has agreed
that a contribution of $1500.00 will be made to President Truman, for
such disposition as he may select, and that a $500.00 consultation fee
will be paid to you for your assistance and advice in connection with
the production of this special program.
We trust that we may receive written confirmation of this
understanding at your earliest opportunity. We are most anxious to
start special program promotion and publicity on the President's appearance.
With very best wishes,
NARA
JBRE
