MEMORANDUM FOR MR. CONNELLY:
The secretary to Associate
Justice William Douglas phoned;
she said that Justice Douglas has
just returned to Washington to find
awaiting him the President's letter
of August 29th (copy attached). The
Justice wants the President to know
that he will be pleased to come in
any time at the convenience of the
President.
