August 21, 1952 ase Personal Dear Tom: I have your letter of the twentieth regarding the report of the Federal Trade Commission. That report as you know was not released because it would have a bad effect on our foreign relations. We finally succeeded in getting the Federal Trade Commission to make a revised report which can be released. The Attorney General has been ordered to in- vestigate the matter and to carry on prosecu- tions as they become necessary. Sincerely yours, HARRY S. TRUMAN Honorable Thomas C. Hennings, Jr. United States Senate Washington, D. C.
