I have confidence that the Wage Sta- bilisation Board -- composed as it is of representatives of labor, and SERVICER management, and the public -- will perform its public duty of making recommendations which are fair and equitable to all parties. The wage issue ahould be decided on its merits. Any price issues similarly should be decided on their werits. We cannot, in any one instance, depart from established methods of determining price and wage issues. 1 an entident that both union and the companies will ecoperate with their Government in settling their differences within the rules that apply to all. This is the only way we can hope to achieve a settlenent of this labor dispute in this vital industry consistent with our seo- nomie stabilisation objectives.
