In consideration of future organization of command
in Mediterranean, BRIT Chiefs of Staff have recommended
more or less as follows:
One. That appointment of SACMED should not be
abolished until ACC Austria has been established in Vienna
and situation in each zone and on L of C is firmly in
hand. When these conditions are fulfilled small combined
Anglo-AMER HQ will be required to replace AFHQ in Italy
until (a) ACC Italy has been dissolved and (b) AMG in
Bolzano and Allied commitment in Venezia Giulia have
ceased.

RECORDS
Two. Commitment in Greece is no valid reason for
SERVICE*
continuance AFHQ.
Three. When time comes for abolition of SACMED and
AFHQ (a) reduced Anglo-AMER HQ Italy should be responsible
for Italy, Venezia Giulia, Bolzano, Sardinia, Sicily and
islands Pantellaria, Lampedusa and Linosa; and should
accept admin responsibility for support and maintenance
