Following is text of agreement signed at Caserta
and
this evening.
!agreement between Chief of Staff to SAC MTO and
Major GEN Carpentier representing the FR Chief of Staff
for Natl Defense.
One. The FR troops in NW Italy will be relieved
by Anglo AMER Forces. This relief will be carried out
progressively. The FR troops will commence to move out
of NW Italy immediately. All FR troops and FR local
GOVT officials will excent a.s set out at pgh six below
be west of the 1939 Franco-TAL frontier by 10 July 1945.
Two. The FR movement to the west of the 39 frontier
will be completed in the areas stated by the dates shown
below: (A) Strua de Delmonte Valley 20 June (B), Val d'
Aosta 25 June (c) Susa Oulx Cesana 1 July (D) Tenda
Ventimiglia 2 July.
Three. Details of the relief of the FR forces and
the establishment of AMG in these areas will be arranged
