FROM HORNBECK
Queen Wilhelmina summoned me yesterday.
Her Majesty said with monfistation of deep feeling
that she wished to tell me in person of her sympathy
for the people of the Unitad States and especially
for his many personal friends in the loss to them
and to the world of President Roosevelt. She spoke
of her own SEnsE of personal loss. She spoke VEIT
apprzciatively of her enjoyment of President and
lirs. Roosevelt's friendly hospitality and of the
President's goodwill toward the Netherlonds.
In conclusion she asked several questions regarding
President Truman and regarding the San Francisco
conference and she requested that I comminicate to
President Truman an Expression of her cordiol "ood vishes.
