Palewski to be placed by him in DE GaullE's hands,
he took the opportunity (Department's 2428, May 31)
to Express the personal hope that a mEEting between
the President and DE Gaulle could be arranged very
soon as he fElt that numerous Jittle points of
friction between the two countries could be ironEd
out by direct discussions between the two Chiefs of
State.
