I mean just this, be- cause it is perfectly clear that the extent of the terrific problems both domestic and international which you will have to meet is not fully realized. I am convinced that your administration will be a great success and it must be so for the safety and best in- terests of United States and of the world. For this reason I am also taking the liberty of telegraphing my various friends in New York asking them to support you in all possible ways.
