FOR THE PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY
Upon leaving Romo today for Amorica via Paris
London I have given following instructions to my
assts Tittmann and Gowon.
"Subject to furthor instructions you will in
my absence each use only your official title as
shown in your official original appointment namoly
asst to the Hon Myron C Taylor. Under existing
circumstances it would not be proper to use any other
title"
There has been so much confusion re our status
hore as indicated by my recent letter to the Prosident
that I believe it is important until I havo discussod
subject with the President that no othor title than
that indicated abovo should be authorized for my assts.
