MEMORANDUM FOR
THE PRESIDENT
The pit dug in the garden was
a test pit to ascertain the soil condition
and to make a check with the borings. The
borings were made 70 feet deep where they struck
bed rock. The pit was dug 28 feet which was
sufficient to check the soil. Gravel and sand
was struck at about 25 feet. The entire opera-
tion was considered succesful.
