Class II. Usable building material of considerable practical
value, including radiators, electrical equipment,
pipe and structural steel, with little or no
sentimental value and not readily identifiable as
coming from the White House.
Articles and material of this category will be stored on Government
property, inaccessible to the public, where it will remain until allocated
by the Commission for, (a) re-use in other Governmental construction, (b)
sale as scrap, or (c) destruction as may be necessary to avoid commercial
exploitation of the relationship to the White House.
Class III. Pieces of durable material, such as timbers, bricks,
facing stones, and panelling, of some possible value
for practical use, but of principal value on account
of their association with the White House.
Material of this category will be stored on Government property, in-
accessible to the public, where it will remain until allocated by the
Commission for, (a) any appropriate practical use, (b) any other use

authorized in an extension of the plan as provided in Paragraph 4, or

(c) destruction. Destruction of the material not otherwise allocated
will be accomplished by burying it in an earth fill on the Government
reservation.
Class IV. Disintegrated, Broken, or Perishable Material.
This category includes all material which is not included in the
other categories. It will be disposed of in the most convenient and
economical manner.
Extension of the Plan
4. The preceding paragraphs prescribe the dispositions to be made
of the surplus articles and materials, but opportunity remains to extend
the plan to provide for the distribution of some of the material to the
