MEMORANDUN REPORT ON PROGRESS TO OCTOBER 18, 1951
To the Chairman and Members of the Commission on Renovation:
As a follow=up on the report of September 28th, the possible completion
dates of the various controlling branches of construction are herowith submitted:
INTERIOR MARBLE
November 30th for materials

December 20th for installation
Candora and Graynox marble not being shipped to meet subcontractor S needs.
Four (4) marble setters have been removed from job due to material shortage.
WOOD FLOORS
November 30th for materials
-
February 1, 1952 for installation
Contractor has not complied with specification requirements as to drying of last
shipments of sub-flooring materials; necessitating removal from site.
HOLLOW METAL
October 30th start delivery
so
November 30th for installation
CABINET & MILLWORK
November lst for materials
-
December 1st for installation
FIRE HOSE CABINETS & CONVECTOR GRILLES
so
Delivery date now November 15th
-
December 31st for installation
PLUMBING, HEATING, AIR-CONDITIONING, ETC.
Contractor proceeding with detailed hook=up of all equipment, and going forvard
with setting of plumbing fixtures, etc.
PLASTER, ETC.
Completion by December 15th em which includes all extra work and necessary patching.
PAINTING
Exterior completion December 15th. Interior contingent upon millwork, plaster
and laying of finished floors.
SPECIAL LIGHTING FIXTURES
The Committee, which met with the lighting fixture contractor. has the probable
completion dates of the Caldwell Company. Mr. Davis advises that all work has
been stopped on the fixtures in connection with diffusers until suitable change is
made in hangers for electric fixtures.
