MEMOR.ANDUM FOR SECRETARY CONNELLY:
The Commission on Renovation of the Executive
Mansion meets at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 1950,
in the Past Wing Conference Room.
Messrs. Orr and Dougher ty of this Commission
have an appointment to see the President at 11:45 a.m.,
November 16, 1950.
During this meeting, the President may wish to
discuss with them the following:
1. Stepping up construction schedule so work
is completed prior to December 1951. (Total cost and
adequacy of existing appropriation may be involved in
this question).
2.
Interior decorating contract with B. Altman
& Co., New York City, in general or revisions recently made
through Mr. Murphy in particular.
