ITEM 4 -- PROPOSED NSC INTELLIGENCE DIRECTIVE RE #COMMUNICATIONS
INTELLIGENCE
(Memo for NSC from Executive Secretary, same subject, dated
June 15, 1948.)
For consideration of the proposed NSCID and for decision
as to the content of paragraphs 1 and 7 thereof in the
light of the divergent views of the Director of Central
Intelligence and the Intelligence Advisory Committee.
ITEM 5 - HANDLING OF SANACC PAPERS SUBMITTED FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE
NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL
(NSC Action No. 58)
For consideration of the advisability of cancelling the
reference action since it appears unnecessary in view
of a new procedure within the Department of State which
requires that SANACC papers to be submitted to the NSC
must be cleared with the Secretary or Under Secretary
before approval by the State Department member of SANACC.
ITEM FOR INFORMATION ONLY
ITEM 6 -- NSC STATUS OF PROJECTS
The Status of Projects as of June 28, 1948, has been
circulated for the information of the Council.
