1. Responsibility of the press.
a ARCHIVES RECORDE "NATIONAL AMD
SERVICE"
a. Meeting that responsibility well.
b. Press can render service in present situation.
2. To preserve our way of life we must have a sound, stable prosperous
economy at home.
a. It is to our interest that we assist in every way in building
up free, independent nations in the world.
b. It is our major defense against those ideologies that would destroy
the freedom of man.
c. It is a matter of self-interest to us.
d. Greatest aid in this effort of ours is to demonstrate that freedom
works. That under our way of life we can have a stable, prosperous
economy.
e. The responsibility on our various segments of economy is greater
than ever before - it transcends personal gain or profit - in the
greater good that will inure to the country and world as a whole.
f. Our free enterprise system is being tested the acid test. Will
we rise to the occasion and, meet the test or will we become vietims of
our own short-sightedness. THITHINHIA

Comparison of size of present day economy and that of 1929.
a. 200 billion dollar economy today compared with 130 billion dollar
economy in 1929.
b. This is peace production and not war production.
4.
Sharp price increases constitute a real danger to maintenance of our
present prosperity.
