The President met with the Cabinet at 4:20 P.M., Tuesday,
November 28, 1950, in the Cabinet Room at the White House.
Those present indluded:
The President,
The Vice President,
The Secretary of State,
The Attorney General,
The Secretary of the Interior,
The Secretary of Commerce,
The Secretary of Labor, and
The Acting Secretary of Agriculture.
Also present were:
General Bradley,
Mr. Harriman,
Mr. Steelman,
Mr. Connelley, and
Mr. Elsey.
The Cabinet Meeting opened with a briefing on the military
situation in Korea by General Bradley. (General Bradley left the
meeting at the conclusion of his briefing. ) The President then
remarked that he had just had a meeting with the National Security
Council at which all phases of the situation in the Far East had

been discussed with/Joint Chiefs of Staff, the three Service Secretaries,
the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense. "We had a rehash
of the whole military, political and international situation. No
definite conclusion or definite action was decided on and none will
be decided on until we see how the political approachsin the United
