March 20, 1950
Dear Averell:
I can't tell you how very much I ape
preciated your good letter of March 13th. It is
the most lucid and the best analysis of the
British pulitical situation that I have read.
It was kind and thoughtful of you to
take time out to send it to me, and 1 an nore
than happy that you sent a copy to Dean Acheson.
1 hope everything is going well with
you, and that the whole European situation will
eventually work out for peace and to the advan-
tage of all concerned.
Sincerely yours,
(Sgd) HARRY S. TRUMAN
