Dear Ambassador Bowers:
I certainly appreciated most highly your good
letter of April twenty-third and I am glad that
the handling of things up here is helpful to you.
The Spanish situation is constantly misrepeesented
and I don't know how in the world we are ever going
to get the truth to the people unless we can figure
out some way to get the facts all in one place, and
I don't know of anyone who is better qualified to put
those facts together than yourself.
It is always a pleasure to hear from you: I hope
everything is going well with you in Chile.
Sincerely yours,
HARRY S. TRUMAN
