C P 2. Y Miss Yang Kang graduated from the English department of the Yenching Univer- sity. After graduation, she translated English literary classics into Chinese and published several books of her own. She was the literary editor of a. monthly magazine published by the Peking Academy. In 1939 she joined the Ta Kung Pao, the Largest newspaper in China, as literary editor. She held the job until she came to the United States in 1944. She studied American literature in Harvard University with a fellow- ship from the Radcliffe College. Now she is the foreign correspondent of the Ta Kung Pao. ARCHIVES SERVICE"
