MEMORANDUM FOR THE PRESIDENT
Subject: Thanks of Netherlands Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister of the Netherlands has requested
that there be conveyed to you his deep appreciation and
hearty thanks for the measures taken to introduce food
into the letherlands and bring about German capitulation.
The Prime Minister declared that this is one of the great-
est moments in the history of his country and that the
attitude and action of the American Government and our
armed forces is each day making more broad and more solid
the foundations for the always cordial and reciprocal
helpful relations between the people of the Netherlands
and those of the United States.
