MEMORANDUM FOR MR. HASSETT
Subject: American Relief for Italy, Inc.
I am enclosing for the President's information a
copy of a letter of April 18th from Mr. Myron Taylor
addressed to Secretary Stettinius, and a paraphrase of
the telegram which Mr. Taylor sent to President
Roosevelt on December 13, 1944. This telegram refers
to the difficulties connected with the delivery of
relief supplies for Italy.
Mr. Taylor reports that these difficulties have
now been overcome.
