O. 11652, Sec. 3(E) and 5(D) or (E) WASHINGTON OSD letter, April 12, 1974 By NLT- MC , NARS Date 627-75 24 MAY 1950 MEMORANDUM TO THE PRESIDENT SUBJECT: Special Electronic Search Operations (SESP) On May 19 you acted on a. policy paper from the Joint Chiefs of Staff on the operations of Special Electronic Airborne Search Operations. By marginal note you asked for clarification of the following statement: "Aircraft engaged in these operations over routes normally flown by unarmed transport-type aircraft, i.e., the land masses of the Allied Occupation Zones and the Berlin and Vienna corridors, will continue to operate with or without armament.
