UNCLASSIFIED PROGRAM FOR THE VISIT TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA OF HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT OF ECUADOR AND SENORA DE PLAZA June 1951 Wednesday, June 20 3:00 p.m. The President of Ecuador and party will arrive at MATS Terminal where they will be met by President Truman. En route to Blair House, they will stop for a welcoming ceremony by the Board of Commissioners of the District of Columbia at the District Building. 8:00 p.m. President Truman will give a dinner in honor of the President and Senora de Plaza at the Carlton Hotel. The President and Senora de Plaza will spend the night at Blair House. Thursday, June 21 9:00 a.m. The President and Senora de Plaza will move to Prospect House, 12:30 p.m. The President will address a Joint Session of Congress. 3:00 p.m. The party will leave for Mount Vernon where the Presi- dent will lay a wreath at the Tomb of Washington, follow- ing which the party will proceed to Arlington National Cemetery where the President will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. 5:00 p.m. The President and Senora de Plaza will receive the Ecua- doran Colony at the Embassy. 8:00 p.m. The Secretary of State and Mrs. Acheson will gi ve a dinner in honor of the President and Senora de Plaza at Anderson House. Friday, June 22 12:15 p.m. The National Press Club will give a luncheon in honor of the President. 3:30 p.m. The President will visit the University of Maryland at College Park and the Agricultural Research Center at Beltsville. 7:30 p.m. The President and Senora de Plaza will give a dinner in honor of President Truman at the Statler Hotel.
