MEMORANDUM FOR MR. HOPKINS, THE WHITE HOUSE
Subject: German War Criminals
In a memorandum forwarded by the Secretary to the
President on the above subject yesterday it was stated
that we would forward to the President press releases by
Mr. McCloy concerning his action on clemency petitions.
There is enclosed the first of these releases covering
a statement by Mr. McCloy, and extract from the report
of his Advisory Board on Clemency.
As soon as the Department receives and reproduces
the additional material on the individual cases a copy
will be forwarded to you.
