tisement, are battling this move toward a socialistic government. We
want to remind everyone how seriously it threatens every business--and
everybody's freedom."
3) In addition to appearing in the mass circulation magazines (it was
first used in November 1949 and was repeated in April 1950), more than
100,000 copies were distributed in every state in the union.

In addition to using mass circulation magazines, ECAP introduced the cam-
paign into more specialized magazines so that the propaganda could "concen-
trate efficiently on special segments of the population-on, for example,
the farm sections, the editorial press, and on those opinion-forming groups
which were regarded as special targets."
