ARCHIVES : SERVICE" upon the basic Communist philosophy that knowledge is a dynamic social force which, by acting upon a pre-existing reality, produces a new reality. All revolutions in history have allegedly resulted from con- flicts between the exploiting class and the exploited class. Previous revolutions have merely transferred property ownership from one class to another; revolutions have succeeded one another as each newly created exploiting class in turn unduly abuses its powers, or becomes out of touch with newly developing modes of production. The coming Communist revolution will be the final revolution since it will abolish private property instead of merely transferring its ownership. No exploiting class will remain and the cause of rev- olution will thus disappear. The following three tenets are basic to Communism: 1. The proletarian revolution can be achieved only by violence since the present exploiting class will not voluntarily surrender ownership of the means of production. 2. The proletarian revolution, to be finally successful, must be global in scope. Only in this way can Communism be secured against outside intervention. Communism must thus meet head-on with Capitalist Democracy. 3. The proletarian revolution must be hastened by man as a conscious actor. -17-
