6. The thene of For A Lasting Peace, For a People's De-
mocracy, the publication of the Communist Information Bureau
of Belgrade (Cominforn) created Septenber 19, 1947, may be
found summed up in these words:
"Fundanental changes have taken place in the inter-
national situation as a result of the Second World
War and in the post-war period. Inasnuch as the
USSR and the countries of the new denocracy becane
obstacles to the realization of the imperialist
plans-two camps were forned--the inperialist and
anti-denocratic camp having as its basic ain the
establishnent of world donination of Anerican in-
perialisn and the smashing of derocracy, and the
anti-imperialist and denocratic camp having as its
basic ain the undernining of inperialism. " "The
struggle between the two dianetrically opposed
canps--the inperialist and the anti-inperialist
camp-is taking place in a situation narked by fur-
ther aggravation of the general crisis of capital-
ism, the weakening of the forces of capitalism...
If
"Hence the imperialist camp and its leading force,
the United States, are displaying particularly ag-
gressive activity "Yesterday's aggressors--
the capitalist magnates of Germany and Japan-are
being groomed by the United States of America for
a new role, that of instrunents of the inperialist
policy of the United States in Europe and Asia.
