Harriman has already left for Paris en route Tehran, due
to arrive Tehran between 8 and 9 Tuesday morning. I am
sure he will be able to clear up matters satisfactorily
and promptly, providing Iranian Govt understands impor-
tance from British Government's standpoint of public opin-
ion here with relation to tension in the south.
